Do you have BIG aspirations to one day be the CEO of your own company, or perhaps even take over the one you’re currently working at?

If so, you must have wondered if aspirations ALONE are enough to bring you there - do you need to have a certain sort of personality to take on that coveted role?

The answer is, fortunately for you or not - YES!

Apparently, there is a breed of people - or a certain sort of personality - that would make the BEST CEO. These people are known as … *PSYCHOPATHS.

Am I saying that your boss could possibly be psycho? I’ll let you be the judge of that...

The CEO [PSYCHOPATH] Checklist:

Is your boss void of the following things?

Empathy
Remorse

Does your boss possess the following qualities?

Glibness
Superficial charm
Manipulativeness
Perfectionism

Did you just say check , check and CHECK? Well congratulations, you are part of a VERY successful organisation because your boss has an extreme personality!

Think about Facebook’s CEO. Although I have never met Mark Zucherberg, I do remember thinking “Geez, what a f***ing psycho”, while watching ‘The Social Network’. But look where Facebook is at now. It has spread like an epidemic and there is NO cure.

In fact, Mark Zucherberg is such a flaming hot success, that he is ranked the 29th richest man in the world, valued at US$19.1 BILLION dollars, after the latest launch of the Facebook IPO.

Now, if I could be as successful as Mark Zucherberg, I honestly wouldn’t mind being called a psycho!

But, even the term ‘psycho’ can be divided into different breeds. Various hotshot CEOs exhibit unique leadership styles which can be categorized into specific forms of psychosis.

Here are **9 Forms that CEOs typically exhibit, to help you decide what sort of BOSS you’d like to be:

1. IMPROVER: Your business is aimed at making the world a better place. You are highly moral and filled with integrity.
Psycho Alert: A perfectionist + overly-critical/judgemental of employees & consumers.
Model Psycho: Anita Roddick, Founder of The Body Shop.

2. ADVISOR: Highly service-oriented and a customer pleaser.
Psycho Alert: So immersed in the business/consumers’ needs that everything else is neglected, including self-health.
Model Psycho: John W. Nordstrom, Founder Nordstrom.

3. SUPERSTAR: Business revolves around YOU & YOUR personal brand. You are the hero!
Psycho Alert: Too competitive & highly likely to be a workaholic.
Model Psycho: Donald Trump, CEO of Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts.

4. ARTIST: Reserved, yet highly creative. Your business will revolve around YOUR unique talents and creativities.
Psycho Alert: Negative self-image (you think everyone is attacking you and are overly sensitive to consumer responses regardless of whether it is constructive)
Model Psycho: Scott Adams, Creator of Dilbert.

5. VISIONARY: Business built based on GREAT foresight. Your HIGH degree of curiosity always keeps you 1 step ahead.
Psycho Alert: A dreamer who is bound to lose focus on reality.
Model Psycho: Bill Gates, Founder of Microsoft Inc.

6. ANALYST: Focussed on systematic problem solving. [Science, Engineering, Technology]
Psycho Alert: Your way or the highway – tendencies to trust NO ONE but you.
Model Psycho: Intel Founder, Gordon Moore.

7. FIREBALL: Full of life, energy & optimism and things get done in fun/playful manners.
Psycho Alert: Overwork teams and over promise/commit and highly IMPULSIVE.
Model Psycho: Malcolm Forbes, Publisher, Forbes Magazine.

8. HERO: You are a TRUE WORLD leader. You can make anything and everything work.
Psycho Alert: You over promise and do anything and EVERYTHING to get your way.
Model Psycho: Jack Welch, CEO GE.

9. HEALER: You nurture and provide harmony and can be eerily calm in sticky situations.
Psycho Alert: Tend not to face up to realities and not deal with turmoil + you are filled with wishful thinking.
Model Psycho: Ben Cohen, Co-Founder Of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream.

So which breed of Psycho are you? Take our Facebook Poll and let us know which of the above 9 ‘Model Psychos’ you’d work for.

PS: Only favourable environmental factors - such as having had a happy childhood - prevent their psychopathic tendencies from turning them into serial killers – Concluded by Dr Babiak and Prof Bob Hare [world renown expert in psychopathy and a regular adviser to the FBI], through a specifically designed questionnaire to help determine how many industry bosses were psychopaths.

PPS: I think Mark Zucherberg is a strange mesh up of Visionary, Artist and maybe even a Fireball. Don’t you?
